Cockroaches as we all know are insects. Very
small insects that are also very good at
surviving. They are nocturnal creatures, that
means they are very active at night or in the
dark. They have been well observed to thrive
in warm environment. They even run away
when suddenly exposed to light. Cockroaches
can survive days without water, several days
without food and even hours without its head.
Cockroaches allergies exist. They came about
when cockroaches climb the skin of people.
Some begin to develop this allergies, mostly in
the form of rashes.
These allergies sometimes trigger asthma.
They transport different types of pathogens.
They can spread certain types of bacteria that
causes food poisoning and hence, typhoid.
The bacteria will spread to the blood stream
and hence can cause different types of life
threatening infections. They crawl anywhere,
eat anything, be it clothes, paper, food, tissue,
books, smaller insects etc. they eat basically
anything. They have been known to spread up
to more than 20 kinds of bacteria and other
types of pathogens that are harmful to man.
However it is very necessary to take
preventive steps because these cockroaches as
small as they are, are very capable of taking
away the life of a loved one.
Clean your cupboards so as to prevent and
reduce their hiding places. Always ensure the
dirty plates are washed, sinks are cleaned,
and the floor and cupboards are cleaned, so
as to avoid their survival. Ensure you avoid
leaving food uncovered so as to prevent not
just cockroaches but rats and houseflies also
from dropping pathogens and bacteria on the
food. They are actually very harmful and
deserved to be killed. You can pour hot water
in the sinks that haven't been used for a
while, because they tend to relax there most
times. I even wish they can go extinct
because they add nothing positive to the
environment, Of course except manure.

You must also learn about your food calories.
This will enable you to measure the amount of
calories you comsume per day. A friend once
told me that "it's not mostly about the amount
of food you eat because you can't say if a
little plate of food you eat has more calories
than three apples". So one must learn how to
measure calories.
Youust also increase your intake of fruits and
veggies. This is also am important factor
because if you want to reduce your weight,
this helps the process to be faster. It
also.helps the person to lose weight healthily
because nobody wants an abnormal reduction.
You must also reduce you food proportion.
You must always mind the amount of food you
consume per day. This is also am important
factor. This factor is the most popular
approach girls use.
Now I will talk on few steps that aid a fat lady
that doesn't want to reduce her weight to
increase her morale and self confidence.
Firstly, if you're always looking at the mirror
saying "wow am fat and I don't like it" then
think about another person that you know
that is fatter than you, then say and believe
"other people have it worse than I do".
Secondly, the way a fat person dresses can
also help. Once you are able to dress in
fashionable but comfortable and not too tight
clothes then you will get compliments and
compliments will surely build your morale or
self confidence.

National Association of Nigerian Nurses and
Midwives (NANNM) University of Port
Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH) has raised
concern that it lost four Chief Nursing
Officers within six months due to stress from
work overload.
Chairman of the Association in UPTH,
MacDonald Uchendu, said the affected
Nursing Officers were within the ages of 48
and 56 years.
She complained that they were understaffed
and urged the management to look into the
matter of recruitment of more nurses.
Investigation revealed that due to a recent
directive by the management to all heads of
department that ad-hoc staff who were
initially engaged and were being paid through
the Internally Generated Revenue of the
hospital should stop work, the regular staff
have been over burdened with work load.
A senior doctor who wants to remain
anonymous lamented that by next year, 2020,
the planned disengagement of Ad-hoc Staff
would immensely add to the overbearing
workloads on the doctors and nurses.
He said that the UPTH management had
engaged the ad-hoc staff to relieve the staff of
workloads because of the increasing number
of patients who daily seek medicare in the
hospital.
It was learnt that the management was acting
on directives from Federal Ministry of Health
to ensure financial prudence in Federal

President Muhammadu Buhari has said that Kogi State Governor , Mr Yahaya Bello , ran a good race in the November 16 governorship poll and won it well.
This was contained in his message of congratulations to Bello, who was declared the winner of the poll by the Independent National Electoral Commission.
“ The President describes the election and emergence of the All Progressives Congress candidate as ‘ a race well run and a victory well won . ’
“ He commends APC supporters for remaining steadfast and resolute even in the face of isolated incidents of violence” , a State House statement by his media aide , Mr Femi Adesina , on Monday said .
He also condoled with families who lost loved ones during the election .
“ All political actors and stakeholders must take deliberate steps to eschew electoral violence as a peaceful and orderly process are vital to our quest for enduring democracy” , the President said .
The statement added , “ He salutes officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission and security agencies for creditably discharging their responsibilities under difficult conditions.
“ President Buhari urges Governor Bello to see his renewed mandate as another opportunity to build on the foundations already laid towards improving the lives of the people of Kogi State .
“ He also enjoins the governor to imbibe the spirit of magnanimity in victory by extending a hand of partnership to opposition candidates, while urging those dissatisfied with the outcome of the election to approach the courts. ”

The Independent National Electoral Commission has officially declared the incumbent governor , Yahaya Bello, as the winner of last Saturday’ s governorship election in Kogi State .
Announcement of the result was put on hold on Sunday evening after results in 19 out of the 21 council areas were released by INEC.
The commission said they were still awaiting results from Lokoja and Ibaji council
areas. It also added that clarification on result from Dekina was needed .
However, with the results announced on Sunday , Bello of the All Progressives Congress was cruising to an easy win over the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Musa Wada .

After announcing the remaining results of the poll at INEC office in Lokoja on Monday , Returning Officer , Prof. Ibrahim Umar, said Bello had a total of 406, 222 votes to defeat his closest rival , Wada , who polled 189, 704 votes.
Umar said , “ Bello Yahaya , having scored the highest number of votes , is hereby declared the winner and therefore returned . ”
But after the announcement , PDP agent refused to sign the results declared by INEC .
The party had, on Sunday , dissociated itself from the result, with Wada alleging irregularities and voter intimidation by “ APC thugs , ” and statewide violence during the conduct of the poll .

He described the figures announced by INEC as “ fictitious. ”
